SOCIETY TERMS & CONDITIONS
Bookings: A deposit of £10.00 per person is required within seven days of booking in order to secure the booking. The deposit is non-refundable and will be offset against your final invoice. This is payable over the phone by Debit/Credit Card or by cheque made payable to ‘Bowood Park Golf Club’.
Cancellation Policy (High Season Only):
8 - 14 days notice – Loss of deposit only.
4 - 7 days notice - Loss of deposit and 50% of society rate.
Less than 3 days notice – Loss of deposit and 100% of society rate.
Confirmation: To assist with catering and tee time reservations – confirmation of final numbers or any amendments are required at least 4 days in advance of date of visit. We reserve the right to charge in full for any numbers not notified to us at least 2 days prior to the date of visit. If your numbers drop below the required amount for your booking category without prior notice (2 days) – a natural supplement will apply.
Refunds: Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather conditions. Bowood Park Golf Club will only refund any monies in the event of course closure.
Golf Course Dress Code: Smart Casual attire only. Under no circumstances are jeans, tracksuits trousers, hooded jumpers, football shirts or the like permitted on the golf course at any time. Knee length socks are not required when wearing shorts, however socks must be worn at ankle length.
Bar/Restaurant Dress Code: Smart Casual attire only. No jeans, tracksuit trousers, polo shirts, hooded jumpers or hats of any description permitted within the bar/restaurant infrastructure.. Bowood Park Golf Club members of staff have the authority to ask you to remove any items of clothing deemed to be unacceptable attire.
Speed of play: Players are expected to play in fourballs, particularly at weekends. A round of golf at Bowood Park should not exceed 4 hours 20 minutes. Any group failing to keep up with the group in front (not in front of the group behind!) and consequently losing a clear hole, must stand aside to allow the following group to play through. We do find that large groups are reluctant to do this, often resulting in play slowing unnecessarily and becoming spread out. Please think about your pairings to ensure slower players are encouraged to move along by the faster ones.
Damage/Behaviour: The group organiser must accept responsibility for the behaviour of the group and for any damage (to the golf course, golf buggies, clubhouse or anything belonging to Bowood Park Hotel & Golf Course) caused by any member of the group if the offending person cannot be identified. Bowood Park Hotel & Golf Course reserve the right to remove from the golf course without refund, anyone who is in breach of the above conditions.
